What Are Miranda Warnings?
Question: What Are Miranda Warnings?
Miranda warnings are very commonly known, but very rarely used. These are constitutional rights that are provided to someone in an effort to ward off or prevent self-incrimination. An individual that is under investigation or arrested, will often be advised by the officer, “You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to an attorney”. These type of rights are very important and you should exercise them because otherwise, whatever you say will be used against you in a court of law.
